Tea for two times three

A few saturdays ago, our Emmaus Leaders treated us to Afternoon Tea at Browns. A bit of a Christmas treat, a whole lot of British goodness! Oh the wonder of cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches (crusts removed), tea from a pot, and perfectly formed scones with cream and jam.

The real winner on the day however, was the hot chocolate.

The Big Story

The last few weeks of term involved some serious juggling of communal and individual responsibility (the clarity of this statement came with hindsight, some pretty intense communal reflection - and because one very wise Lizzie Green said it). The communal part? One presentation of the entire biblical story in under two hours, put on by the KBCTC student body, everyone must have a significant part, and there must be a programme. JOLLY!

It was fun, it was tense at times, and there were some late nights, but we did it - even if that meant our essays suffered. Wait, maybe that wasn’t such a hot decision. Anyway, if you’re lucky Kim might upload a highlight reel at some stage. Damien in a sumo suit? “Shepherd my feet?” Priceless.

I took some portraits for the programme and included some of my favourite pics below.

The Circle is Key

The first term is now over! College life really geared up in the last three weeks, and as a result my posts decreased even though there was plenty going on. Expect a flurry in the next week! One of my highlights from the last little while was celebrating Cami’s birthday with dinner and dancing. Had some great chats with Jem (a fellow lover of stationary), discovered Pizza Express dough balls are the best, but trying to combine your dessert and cocktail isn’t. Dancing is fun when you own the floor - achieved by numbers, some prayer, security guards and dancing in a big circle (we are at Bible College - would you expect anything less?!).

Let it snow!

The snow in Oxford a few weeks ago was MAGICAL! Now only if it will do the same on Christmas Eve……
